Courtney L. Patrick was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia. She is a 2009 graduate of University of Georgia's Terry College of Business where she received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics.
In May 2012, Courtney graduated cum laude from Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law. While in law school, Courtney was accepted into the ranked Advanced Writing Program and obtained a certificate in Advanced Legal Writing, Research, and Drafting. She made Dean's List and received the CALI Award in Academic Excellence in her Advanced Legal Research and Domestic Relations courses. Upon graduation, Courtney was selected for membership into the Brainerd Currie Honor Society for her academic achievements and distinguished contributions to the law school. She also received a certificate of achievement for her participation in the Law and Public Service Program for her exceptional commitment to public service throughout law school.
Courtney has been practicing since 2012, focusing her practice primarily on general business matters, trademarks, copyrights, corporate formations, probate and estate planning, and contract drafting and review. Since joining Klosinski Overstreet, LLP, Courtney will be expanding her practice to also focus on the areas of real estate and bankruptcy.
Courtney is an active member of the community. Since 2013, she has served on the Women in Business Committee of the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce. Then, in July 2014, Courtney became an Executive Board Member of the Augusta Chapter of the University of Georgia Alumni Association. Most recently, in March 2015, Courtney was asked to serve as a Co-City Chair of the Legal Food Frenzy in Augusta.
In June 2014, Courtney was selected
as one of the Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals in the Augusta area between the
ages of 25 and 35 who is expected to have greater influence on the future of
economic roles and lifestyles than many generations that have come before her
and the other honorees. The top 10 in 10 Young Professionals are selected
through a partnership between the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce and Augusta magazine.
